At the time of PPC’s partnership, EDP was owned by its founder and two Chicago-based family investors with which PPC had long-standing relationships. EDP’s leadership team was looking for a partner who could accelerate the next phase of growth and provide a liquidity solution to one of the families, but who also understood the importance of legacy, people, and local decision-making. PPC’s own family-business roots and experience working with founder- and family-led companies helped establish alignment early, setting the foundation for a successful partnership.
